  • The acid on this thing is off the charts for a Pinot, and there are significant tannins to boot, so I kicked the drinking window out a few years. There is absolutely no rush on this one. There's a fair bit of juicy cherry on the palate, but it's bowled over by the acid. This might become something really interesting in a few years, but was probably wasted now.

  • Decanted this an hour and only got to drink 4 ounces or so because it ransacked before I got any more… generous nose of red fruit, earth. Medium bodied, red fruited but with a good earthy balance along with some a subtle baking spice note. Great acidity. This was a lovely wine and Tom Lee’s note is superior to mine.

  • Crimson in color. 14% ABV. Pretty nose of red fruits, baking spices, earth and flowers. Medium body with medium acidity. Dark and brooding with a distinct earthiness. Black cherry, black raspberry, nutmeg and iron on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Delicious and easy to drink but not as good as the Cristom McMinnville AVA Series I opened yesterday. Best over the next several years.
