  This wasn't what I had expected at all. Initially slightly natty funk, but loads of rich red cherry fruit. The heat of the vintage shows a bit but not overwhelming. With air, the earth and sous bois comes through and it settles into a very balanced, 'classic' burgundy. Reading other CT notes maybe there are quite a bit of btl variation? this was great though.

  Solid, but at this stage of development, unexciting. Medium and dark tart red fruit; at first blush, I thought I detected a wisp of petroleum in the nose, but that seemed to burn off with exposure to air, and evolved into faint earthy notes.
  
  I have reserved two bottles of the same vintners other bottling from this vintage, her last, and will be interested to compare notes at some far future date.
  
  Rated +1 on a scale of -1 to +3.
