  • Blind tasted. Guessed Carignan from Faugeres which is not far as the crow flies and this is 50% old vines Carignan. Dark. Creamy, yoghurt, liquorice nose with a musky, volatile touch. Tannic with a dry finish. Some alcohol burn. Initially rather short but the carafe helps. Creamy oak on the palate which is still austere. Needs a few more years.
