Tasting with Alan and Maria Teresa at legendary garage producer Bartolo Mascarello in Barolo. Around 35 000 bottles produced annually from a total of 5 hectares vineyards in Cannubi, San Lorenzo, Rue and Rocche Dell'annunziata. Super conservative, minimal intervention winemaking. Fermentation in concrete tanks, indigenous yeast and no temperature control. Aged in old Slavonian botti, carefully cleaned with salt water when replaced, oak is considered an defect. Fruit mixed directly. TN's will follow.
