A stunning value at just over 7 Euros. Excellent, slightly sour but perfectly pure aroma of lemon-sulphur-minerals-wet stones; linear palate, lemon again, long finish. Mature but no sign of tiredness. Once again, Künstler's basic Herrenberg QbA trocken is one of his most satisfying wines, and a manifesto for what can be achieved at a modest price in the Rheingau (but what hardly any producers can -or bother to- strive for). 89P
