  • Murky medium dark red-purple, enormously muddy of sediments. Powerful nose of port, dried prune, spearmint, black olive in oil, American oak. Medium tannin, low acidity. A very distinctive flavor of fresh spearmint leads to a rather baked fruit (burned fruit skin ?) mouthfull. Finishes a little soy sauce-like, salty and bitter. I liked it and it was a love-hate thing amongst our six diners. A treat from the Lowells, from magnum.
