Tasted after 2 hours open and decanted as a fair bit of sediment. It’s not bad at all given the vintage - tawny coloured with some bricking on the rim, fairly muted nose with some blackberry, charcoal and cedar. Plum and cranberry to taste, burnt toast and cocoa on the short finish. Disjointed and certainly needs drinking, but for €14 I’m not complaining.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like tobacco, cedar and blackberry. It tastes like blackberry, burnt and plum. The body is medium. The wine has angular texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Medium (+) garnet colour. Medium and developing nose with blackcurrant, blackberry, red plum, tobacco, leather, mushroom and forest floor. Medium taste of red plum, raisins, fig, tobacco, leather and forest floor. Medium long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. Medium body. A very good Medoc that is peaking. The 1985 and 1988 is better QPR. Needed an hour to open. Drink now. Goes well with beef or lamb.
