Dark cherries, forest floor & tilled earth on nose. On the palate, tart cherries and earthiness with a hint of spice. The acid is medium; tannins are med- , granular and integrated; the body is medium+; 13% ABV and the finish is med+ with wonderful Burgundian forest floor/earthy finish. Short decant before tasting. Have a couple more bottles and there is no concern that this wine is in decline!

Lots of tart cherry upfront, but opened, softened, and integrated after 30 minutes in glass. Came around to be a very nice wine, on the lighter body side. I think that it may improve with a few more years in the cellar and gain some complexity but already drinking well now.

Deep color but not dense. Captivating nose that in turn showed earth, incense, black and red fruit, and ground coffee. Assertive and powerful in the mouth because of strong acids and high tannins. Perhaps larger framed than the '05 Angerville Volnays, but I think this will still exhibit some delicacy when all of the muscle bound structure resolves. I loved this one, and it could turn out to be a great Cote de Beaune.

Beautiful dark red color with purple edges. For three days the nose was always subdued but hinted at some dark red pinot fruit, Normandy sauce (alcohol?), and slight perfume. Nice bright crushed red fruit in the mouth, deep, warm, inviting and very mouth filling. Also a little light mineral coating that is nice and a little beef blood. Silky smooth. If the wine is maybe lacking a little identity right now- it's a little Chambolle-like- it certainly is quite drinkable and enjoyable. Great things to come. Give it 7 to 10 years.

Deep dark redberries and earth on nose. Quite big and beefy on palate with hints of spice and cherries. Nice long finish. Has a ways to go.
