  Again, I hate to be the prof that thinks that a 'C' is a perfectly acceptable grade, but this is basically good enough not to pour out. Sort of. It exhibits plenty of forward cherry fruit with a dark peppery background, but it is so simple that it really just satisfies on the most basic level. It belongs to that giant snoozer class of wine that just passes the time without making a statement. Average is fine in a world with so much below average stuff--I appreciate the effort and would gladly quaff a bottle if I were stuck in a cave, but given a nice selection wouldn't reach for this again.
