  • An interesting 100% Garnacha Rioja, with a lot of character. Bountiful, juicy cherry fruit, as one would expect, with a depth that clearly speaks of old vines. With time, subtle delineated boysenberry emerges. There’s a sharp, feral funk to this, not exactly brett, but I can’t place what it is. It’s not fully welcome but perhaps only because of its sharpness. There’s also an aggressive dusty minerality, quite savory, along with sweet tannins on the long finish.
