Dark fruit with Cassis and plums. Ceder, some leather and forest floor/dirt. Fully mature and probably a few years over the hill as the fruit felt quite dried out. Still quite tannic.

Last bottle of an OWC-12 bought in 2016 for 15€/bottle. PnP. Cork in good condition (only a little bit soaked). This has arrived at the end of its drinking window. The fruit has gone. Still typical good old Bordeaux, but the finish is really dry. Good PQR for this (unclassified) DOURTHE-Pessac-Léognon. But clearly inferior to the Cru Bourgeois Pontoise Cabarrus 2005 (Haut-Médoc, neighbor of Sociando-Mallet) we had just behind.

Had it with dry aged Porterhouse Steak. Perfect match, the wine is quite tannic for it's age and this was nicely balanced by the steak. This bottle however was not as good as the ones I already had, it was rather a 88. But the 5 bottles before deserved a 89. Does not benefit from decanting and can be popped and poured. Its for now until next year.

Too much cedar for me and not enough fruit, even for Graves. About the same the 2nd night, so don't think it's in decline Cheap auction buy and good QPR, but probably not going to buy again.

Perhaps I'm a fan of "past due" wines but I found this bottle delightful. A hint of fruit but soft tannins but structure intact and subtle complexity.
