This wine is from one of the great producers from the Piedmont region in northern Italy. Burlotto is most famous for their flagship wines which are Barolos made from the nebbiolo grape. The Burlotto Elatis is a rosé blend with nebbiolo combined with pelaverga and barbera.
I opened this bottle and shared three glasses from the bottle poured with Vinloq. I serve every wine that I open with the Vinloq system. The only time I do not use preservation gas is when I have friends over, and I know I will finish the bottle that day.
On the first night, this wine was lovely and elegant. Grapefruit led the way, followed by strawberry, citrus, and a chalky minerality. For a rosé, this wine feels quite substantial with a concentrated and smoky core. *91 pts on day1
Rosé wines often oxidize and fall apart after the first night, but with Vinloq, the remaining glasses were unchanged when I finished them five days later. *91 pts on day 6

This is absolutely slammin. Watermelon with mineral cut. Nose like a nice southern French deal but body of an Italian. For what that's worth. Complex. Wish I bought a lot more.

This is nice- a well made, herbal, slightly bitter and appealing rose. If I had to pick between this and the pelaverga I’d probably go with the latter but that’s probably more a function of how great the pelaverga can be.

Grand rosé. Nez puissant sur le floral et l’herbacé. Belle complexité et rondeur en bouche. Framboise cuite et de beaux amers.
