Really great for the appelation. In comparison to the 1ere Chassagnes, this pales, but on its own, the wine has come into nice shape, gaining weight in the bottle, alcohol has receded and the oak has relaxed. Lemon drop, pear, clean and transparent. Really drinking well and not as gastronomic as the more structured crus

nose - very reduced at first but quickly corrected with air. powdered milk, cucumber, white flowers - odd nose but identifiable as white burg
mouth - more malo than lactic, there is a kid of softness here. I can see the mint thing but i have been primed. there is a round genteel (caramel) quality to the mouth that i suspect is a producer signature though i dont have enough Ramonet experience to say for sure. I think this is worth experiencing to understand the producer and i will look to trying some other vintages of this wine, but there are plenty of better deals in white burgundy out there.
Pop and pour. On the nose: soft struck match, crushed rock, lemon oil, and some toast, which I don't think I noticed last time. On the palate: fantastic acidity, muddled mint, crushed rock, iodine, lemon oil, vanilla and lovely density. A touch of tang on the juicy and mineral finish.
