Wow! Impressed and amazed. Opened this on a Tuesday figuring that it would be beyond the time and tannic and tight. I was wrong. Gobs of luscious dark fruit with beautiful rounded tannins, good structure and a long finish of blackberry jam that goes on and on. Drink this now!

In a good place right now. Fully resolved. Delicious. Big chewy PS fruit still there. Still going strong. Your favorite wine magazine said the drinking window on this ended eight years ago.

Some wines with the neighbors (Our home): Pop and pour, this took about 10 minutes to open up a bit and then continued to do so until emptied. Purple in color. The nose is really nice but not big. Black raspberries, charcoal, slight floral notes and earth. On the palate, this is deep and with air layered complexity comes out. Not as big as many Pride petite sirahs, this has a great under layer and nice fruit. Nice acidity. Perhaps at peak, or getting close, but no hurry.

An evening with friends and a lot of wine (Chris and Renee's Home): Pop and pour. This wine is in a very good place right now. Inky purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, graphite and black pepper. On the palate, this is smooth. Softer on the attack. Lots of black raspberry fruit. deep and showing layered complexity. Well balanced. Not a monster PS as this can be in other vintages. Nice finish. IIRC, they ripped these vines out. Such a shame. I am sure there is more money in other varietals, but the Pride PS's made by Foley were some of the best.

Huge, still tannic, more new worldy than I'd have thought, a lot of dark fruit, fairly low acidity though and that impairs the balance at this stage. A lot of upside but needs 5-10 years.
