This bottle was really something! Slightly sweet palate of citrus and orchard fruit with beeswax and minerally, sherried notes. This was very fresh and showed wonderful acidity this time around. A long finish. A very special treat.

Leth Tasting with Franz Leth (Block 7 Wine Co. - Houston): Agave nectar, golden raisin, sweet lemons, and tropical fruit. Off-dry palate still retaining some freshness and a little bit of acidity. Medium-plus finish. 14.5% abv, which probably helped it survive as long as it has despite the lowish acid.

(Leth Weissburgunder Auslese) What was interesting about this wine is that it still had varietal character on the nose. Soft notes of apple and pear and a little mineral. Palate was ok but probably over the hill. Drink 'em if you got 'em which I am sure you all have.
