  • New Year's Eve dinner at Wimborne. Drank in Riedel Pinot/Nebbiolo stemless glass.
    Lovely!
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of stony minerals, lemon oil, citrus lime. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of white peaches, citrus green limes, lemon oil, spice, bay leaf, stony minerality. With air, a salty saline nose and salted almond nuts (the only hint of oak I get) emerge on the palate. Very long layered finish.
Excellent quality. Good life ahead. Situated in one of the best parts of the appellation, called “Le Charlemagne”, on the south-facing part of the hill.
