This is… truly an odd wine. As noted, it has a good dollop of residual sugar that gives it a very lush profile, but it has an almond oxidative edge and creamy texture mixed in with five spice. What it’s missing is acidity. It’s a weird set of flavors and textures that seem to be all over the place and unfocused. A nice dose of acid would definitely help. I tried to have a couple of glasses, but the wine got more alcoholic (thanks 2018!) as time went on and I couldn’t do it.

Very fun wine, very good in the right food context. Nothing shy or reserved here, this is one flamboyant wine that is rich, sweet (ok demi-sec), and fleshy with apple pie, gingerbread and anise. While certainly rich, there is also brightening acidity providing freshness and lift. Very good overall now through at least the next 3-5 years.

100% Sauvignon Blanc & Sauvignon Gris. From a 0.4-hectare, north-facing plot planted in 1950 on clay-limestone marl over hard limestone in the Sauvignon de St. Bris AOC, an anomaly as an all-Sauvignon appellation in the Chablis region.
Exquisite wine. Perfect balance with wonderful depth, acidity and mierality. Viscous palate adds to finesse of the wine.

A bit to volatile for my taste and i can be quite forgiving.
transparant fruit aromas of apple and citrus. very primary. direct.
beauty in acidity but a little too less of it. VERY rich vintage.
Very fat. mainly cause of res. sugar. (22g/L)
sauvignon Blanc & Gris
