Pretty dark cherry flavors, pleasant, not terribly complex but has a gorgeous cashmere-like texture. Most beautifully shaped bottle on the table, too, have never seen one one like this.

Pop and pour, very similar to earlier this year. Pleasant wine on its own or w food, but wouldn’t put this up to beef. Would actually work w fish or poultry. Enjoyable but I definitely question JD’s 10-15 year lifespan.

$50 -meh, not great at this price. A nice start with some fruit and acidity, but doesn’t hit you like a Napa cab should. The fruit is weak and the finish is lacking, the wine just falls off a cliff and you don’t know you just had a drink. It should stay with you a while. Anyway I wouldn’t buy it again at this price. It would be a good $30 bottle.

Dave Phinney continues to WIN for me. His artistry with his blends is what I look for. He makes young wine drink like it has been in the bottle much longer. Can't wait to try the 2016 bottle I have remaining.

Opened up after a few minutes. Nice drinking, not super complex.
