Last Bottle of the 15 Merlot. While this is a pnp my notes after it's been open for 90 minutes.
Muted nose, mixes musty wine cellar and faint dark fruit. More fruit on the pallet but there's just enough structure to make this interesting and palatable. Proper timing for this tried and true friend.

Oddly I feel less pressed to pop the cork from this 375 than from a 750, but enjoyable either way. However you look at it it's time to drink, but an enjoyable wine and still a top 10 Merlot.

Tannins have notably dissipated, it's time to drink this up. Not giving a numerical rating as the wine was great prior to / in its peak, and Bob consistently makes one of the best merlots in the US.

Tannins have mellowed, and this is ready. There is depth and fullness, with black cherry on the palate. Enjoy.

Good fruit, dark cherry on the palate. Not much acidity.
