Rich, savory, black ripe plum and berry fruit, almost chocolate-y, salt, bit of graphite. A big-ass wine (technical term). Surprisingly balanced at its’ over-the-top 14%+ alcohol level and pleasurable now if you want to sample a bottle. I like this one, and my wife, an Oregon Pinot partisan LOVED it, but I question how much Pinot can reveal about terroir at such high ripeness/alc levels (not to mention price). We’ll see what a few years will do. LLM has a real knack for making interesting, sensual tasty Burgs.
