This is in a good spot now. Bring nose, really nice notes of strawberries that linger on with a spiced and leather/gamey finish. Tannins are fine, this is good to go now!

My first St Joseph wine & I had it with Shepherd's Pie which was a fantastic pairing. Drank in a shiraz glass and the first sip was after 90 minutes. 100% Syrah.
Deep purple wine with medium minus aromas and flavours of violet, flower stalks, raspberry, blueberry, game, and barnyard. Soft tannins with medium acidity & finish. The entry was thin but more rounded during the mid-palate. One of the lightest Syrah's I've tasted from Rhone, the last time I tasted such a light Syrah was the Reyneke from South Africa.

pretty good for its age (still pretty young). already some tertiary flavors coming through. I like it. decant for an hour at least, or, what I normally do, decant it cold, then let it air in the glass, and taste the difference in taste over time. not bad at all.

Three hour decant. Deep dark magenta color. Ripe blackberry, blueberry, black cherry pie, damp granite, allspice, and subtle toffee. Smooth, dry, medium+ bodied palate. Firm, full tannins on the medium long finish.

When I first opened this all I got was dirt and tannin, after decanting for over an hour it has opened up. Still high acid and tannin's with a slight medicinal taste. Under ripe raspberries and blackberries. Im going to give it a day to see how it develops. It could be In drinking it too young.
