Normally I love anything I get from Holly's Hill. This does not even taste like a Syrah. It lacks any sort of nose or fruit on the palate. Disjointed is a good description. The wine is terrible. I will hold off opening another bottle for a few months to reevaluate again.

I've enjoyed other Holly's Hill wines, especially their Mourvedre and Rhone blends. This single vineyard estate Syrah seemed a little disjointed. I didn't get the usual Syrah dark fruits, pepper or spice. I didn't get the impression it needs more time, little to no tannin present, and no strong alcohol present. Not a fan of this one.
