Whoopee! I found the last eleven bottles in the UK. This wine just keeps getting better. Colour: light gold, bright, clear. Nose: full, fresh, bright clean lime, some grapefruit, no petrol until after a couple of hours. Taste: light body, still marked by acidity, lime and grapefruit, ripeness to balance the vibrant acidity, med finish, dry, still taut but filling out nicely, develops honeysuckle notes to add to the lime and ripe almost Mosel flavours. Overall, this is classic Pipers River Riesling that has developed beautifully. Great purity above all.

Retasted several times after my last note on this wine (28/2). This keeps getting better, particularly when vacuvined for 24 hours. The fruit blossoms and shows the real potential in this wine.

What a joy to find a crisp Riesling that illustrates this variety's potential in Tassie. From the Pipers River, it develops well over twenty four hours vacuvined. Colour: pale straw, bright, clear. Nose: Fresh, v dry, citrus, expands with opening, varietal in an Aussie way but crisper than mainland versions. Taste: light, full, rounded, citrus, lime, great fruit/acidity balance, l/f, v dry, lime, crisp yet rounded. Overall, an excellent example of northern Tasmanian Riesling.

\he wine looks colorless colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon, orange and pine. It tastes like lemon and orange blossom. The body is light. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has high acidity.

Retasted. This has developed some tertiary aromas, a bit musky. Just this bottle? Still good though.
