  • Beautiful ruby red with medium plus optical density and very high, fine, specular reflectivity. Strong intensity of aromas, with red fruits (bright cherry, raspberry), and earthy tar and roses. Shows some depth and complexity on the nose. Some swirling candied fruits along with a light presence of garden vegetable notes add intrigue.

On the palate, light to medium body with medium acidity on entry and rounded tannins for an easy-going texture that shows lovely presence, vibrance, and elegance. Enough structure to support strpng flavours and a clean evolution across the palate. Shows incredible balance on the mouthfeel.

Flavours of bright red fruits lead the attack, supported by florals and light earth. Things stay intense through the midpalate, with strong fruit and lighter earth maintaining their hold until some subtle spices appear at the final transition. Finishes short and clean, with rose pedals and sweet cherry. Overall, excellent intensity of flavours, with light complexity (more depth is found on the nose than the palate).

This is a really beautiful light red table wine. Blended from Barbera, Dolcetto, and Nebbiolo into a perfect balance that is elegant, delicious, and honest. The transparency to vineyard shows through and through, for a great example of wine that will please a crowd. It appears sweeter than it is, but this is certainly a consequence of the vivid, well-tended fruit. I think it is not possible to ask more from a regional, everyday red. This is definitely a wine that speaks of Northwest Italy, and one that is drinking beautifully now.
