Colour: Velvety, somewhat cloudy, orange-red. Aroma / bouquet: Pleasant but especially extremely fragile bouquet with a remnant of strawberry compote and some wet forest soil. Taste / Aftertaste: Pleasant but somewhat atypical Burgundy. Refined soft acidity, serious tannins and (yay! 'only' 12.5% alcohol. That should have made the wine harmonious, albeit lacking in aromatic expression. Medium length. General / potential:[/i ] A somewhat similar experience to the AOC Bourgogne Banc by Lalou Bize-Leroy, which did not impress me much, this wine is a re-release of the wine made for the Millennium from the best plots from 1990 to 1999,, the 'Hommage a l'an 2000' Pleasant, far from grandiose 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 10 + Taste / Aftertaste: 15 + General / potential: 8 = 88/100

  • A typical bourgogne red from Leroy, cloudy brick red, floural nose, and 山楂水. Delicious!

  • Drank the last of the two I picked up given this is tiring out. Much of the same, though this bottle had a little less iron and actually a bit of taint on the nose. It only came from fresh bottle pours though and went away pretty quickly - was enjoyable but glad I polished off what I had left. Would encourage people to find a reason to drink up

  • Do not decant or air this. Nose was quite good on pop with a blueish grape note over rustic forestry must that only degraded as this saw air. This is fully mature and should be had sooner rather than later. Develops almost into a Bordeaux like character with iron, graphite, leather, and earth coming to the fore. Just the slightest tingle on the palate otherwise nothing special body wise. Agree with another note that at $500+ this is stupid, but at sub $300, the story is cool enough to warrant a try
