This is an amazing bottle, full stop. One of the most compelling rose wines I have ever encountered. To the extent that there is a flaw, the nose suggests some Brett going on. Deep mineral, slightly barnyard nose, with plum and warm spice - nutmeg and cinnamon. Seawater. Palate balanced, with great lifting acidity, intense minerals going on long finish. still a bit tannic. Great fruit - plum again dominant.

I agree with the last note about this wine occupying the uncanny valley between red/rose. The wine was very pale light rose with a musty plumy nose. I didn’t get the smoke the others did. Once it opened up, the wine had light dried plumy fruit, bright acid long integrated flavors. I liked it. A hard wine to rate

BrooklynGuy is not wrong (duh) and there is more intrigue than pleasure here. Uncanny valley between red/rose and the umami honestly competes wrongly with the fruit. That said, a bit of smoke and dried fruits is pretty good and holds well over time. I suspect a liked it more drinking at the campfire than I would have in my lounge.

Blood orange, cranberry, sweaty gym socks, some phenolic bitterness. Interesting wine but not a re-buy for me

This bottle really doubled down on the volcanic stank. We dug it.
