Festival of Phil (Phil's place, Putney, Sydney): From Coravin. Blackberry, sweet spice, savoury, peppery, slightly spirituous, slight vanilla. Still very young on the palate, slightly coarse brandy spirit, alcohol warmth, raspy tannins, pretty rough stuff.

The return of JonnyG: Chocolate, blackberry, cherry liqueur, charcoal and bark. Has some decent intensity, though it isn't distinctly sweet, medium depth and length. Don't think I've tried one of these before, so definitely a pleasure to encounter it.

A rare treat, light bodied in style, very sweet and long, with clean, rich flavors and some grilled herbal elements.
