Not a bad Grüner Veltliner, but we found it slightly too ripe and rich with an almost overpowering vegetal note of black pepper and even some licorice. - 88 point

I didn't take any detailed tasing notes as I was busy with the holiday! Thanksgiving was Day 2 for this wine, with only a small glass the day before. I found it very pleasant, nice acidity, mineral, herbal, perfectly balanced. No faults observed.

Made the mistake of relying on this with a stir fry of farmer’s market veggies in olive oil. The pairing went all wrong. Sometimes I think Gruner needs to be coddled with butter and austere German/Austrian flavors.

Well was really curious on this wine. Had it in Zalto Burgundy and Universal glasses , can only say that it performed best in Zalto Universal glass as it makes the wine more "lean" as it in itself is a wine with very full notes on different herbs... Its almost overpowering things in my view. It has notes of zesty lemon / grape fruit , maybe i would say candid pear also appears before those hefty notes take over and makes it almost too much. I ad it with chicken and rice made in Indian style with coconut cream and curry , and the wine can easily take that but it lacks some acidity / freshness as i see it. Over the evening it seemed to mellow down a bit so maybe some years in the bottle will do the trick.!!!
