Served alongside Comtes Lafon Charmes from the same year, this seemed quite some years older (both in terms of color and taste). Intense wine, some tropical fruit, flowers, some honey notes, a bit of reduction. Very strong showing.

BYOB dinner and then some; 2/1/2024-2/2/2024 (Avalon, Amsterdam): [Tasted blind] Tasted next to Comte Lafon Meursault Charmes from the same vintage. This felt older, but not less. It stood up very well. Quite advanced in color, ripe fruit, tropical fruit, caramel, both reductive and oxidative. Medium+ acidity, long finish. 92-93
Loved it, great wine

Made from a blend of Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Clairette Blanche, Viognier, Verdelho, Roussanne, Marsanne, Semillon Gris, Semillon Blanc, Palomino and Colombard and aged seperately in both amphora and concrete.
Quite yellow in the glass with aromas of some tropical fruit, popcorn, lemon, green apple. It is, though, a wine for the palate - almost creamy texture with an almost salty grip and a quite long finish. Medium+ acidity in this vintage.
I would hold for a few more years to really unfold.

Straw yellow colour, good intensity on thr nose with lychee and green lemons and some vanilla yoghurt. Very creamy texture, the 13.5 ABV just marking itself but without loosing its balance and overall coherence. The fruit profile retained and the acidity persists all the way through the finale. Great stuff that surely tastes good now but can be kept for at least a few more years.

A bit shy on the nose, but the palate was an explosive crescendo building over the incredibly long finish. Rich texture.
