  • A light bodied Summer wine to be sure...
On nose: very shy nose of green melon rind, and light minerals.
On palate:the above notes, as well as green apple, sea salt, and lemon peel .....aaand..that's it!
A blend of Vermentino, an obscure varietal called Ansonica, and " allegedly" Viognier....which might make up 2% of the blend, as there is, in this bottle no varietal evidence of this grape to my palate....pleasant shellfish wine....drink now, not an ager.

  • Fruit Day - Pale lemon core. Evocative and perfumed nose of cashews, pineapple, cantaloupe, waxy white flower (not lily but lily-like) and just a hint of salinity. On the palate, the citrus explodes with bright acidity holding it until the tropical fruit mentions it’s also there. There’s a touch of nuttiness on the back palate along with a touch of minerality. The finish is medium in length showing medium plus acidity along with the citrus. It stays for quite a while on the palate - mostly citrus. Well worth the price and tasted when still a bit too cold.

An hour later... I can see why they added the Viognier. Really adds a depth and texture without diminishing the citrus and Minerality. The Viognier peach flavour is showing up the more it warms.

Hard to keep from sipping this. Delicious! Drink now and through 2022.
