(Decanted for one hour) Mature nose showing orange peel, warm sweet fruit and a hint of mushrooms in a very nice way. Softening tannins with a nice and refined fruit and a bit fiery finish. This is good, with a nice length and good balance and is starting to show some tertiary notes. This is good, but could evolve a bit longer. (Best 2017-2032)

Lovely nose with incipient maturity with notes of sweet violets and a hint of vanilla. Maturing palate still showing cherry fruit that starts drying out that is matching the softening tannins and the long sandalwood finish. This was a very good bottle and promising for a nice maturing future. I like my red wine on the more mature side, but if your more after primary fruit you need to drink up now... otherwise you could drink it over the coming decade. Best 2017-2027.

Torres Mas La Plana mini vertical tasting 2002-2004 (Winegate): Clear with med ruby color and some brick hues. The nose is clean, with med+ intensity, wonderful evolved nose with mint and sweet spices, blackcurrant and liquorice, walnut and almond, plum and before the end chocolate and coffee beans. Full developed. The wine is dry, showing med/med+ body, med intensity, med alcohol (13.5%), med acidity, tannins medium, mocca and chocolate, red and black currants, cedar, balanced, med finish. Very good quality, premium price, drinking now but can hold
