  • Nice tropical fruit with hints of mango and banana and a modest acidity. A well balanced, rather soft, delicate and rather complex wine. Delicious. Indeed a nice match with mussels, and probably also with cheeses like Comte, Reblochon and St. Nectaire. 92

  • Coravined a half bottle to assess a reference for future tasting. Three and a half bottles left.

Reveal approaching one hour from initial pour.

Soft but translucent amber-green in colour.

Nose: slight smoke, subtle scents of guava, white peach, lentil, and sweet peas. Light oily viscosity. Dry, with soft mouthfeel.

Fresh and joyful but subdued; young, so much more to anticipate.

    Delightful.

Shall decant remaining half bottle for two hours and compare.

Suggest oysters, prawns, scallops, crab, etc. Delicate white cheeses would suit best.

    SECOND DRAFT 14th February 2024

Remaining half bottle from Coravined first take. 13 degrees from chiller, decanted two hours.

Aroma of salty marine atmosphere, clalk. Undertone of guava and mildly sour lemon. Sherbert, back under tongue, on warming. Green nose of fresh spring onion leaves. With time in glass, presenting tongue texture of soft, flowery Russet apple and suggesting mild stewed rhubarb. Redolent of rhubarb and custard sweets of 60's,70's UK.

Has texture and body, but fades quickly. Soft and mild in presentation: best contrasted with oysters or saline sea food: fish, only as delicately cooked, or with delicate sauce accoumpanyment: delicate goat or sheep cheese: Brie de Meaux, Delice, Piere Robert, etc,.

With further air time, the softness and texture developed agreeably, however, the flavour and scent profile, although matured, yielded less focus and expansivness. Sixty to thirty minuits drinking window from decant appears optimum at this age.

Most enjoyable but best wait some further years before opening the next bottle.

  • Auberge Dab lunch with plateau magnifique. Charming nose of lemon, a little hazelnut, med+ richness more lemon and a fine long saline finish. Perfect with the seafood. I really enjoyed this.

  • Drinks well now, light aromas of citrus with good length.

  • Enjoyable. But definitely no rush to drink. 5 left and I plan to save at least a few for the end of this decade.
