On the Pop n pour - Nose of raspberry jam spread across a horse saddle. A little funk, a lot of red fruit, really musky, leathery with some cinnamon spice and a little garrigue. Actually quite interesting. One of those wines that you want to wait to sip because the nose is intriguing enough on its own.
On the palate - very fruit forward, esp on the attack, which is mixed with the musky underbrush. A slight grenache bite. Sharp, crisp acidity, even a little effervescent. This should burn off in a little time. Nice tannic structure, but slightly hollow in the mid. respectable finish, but mostly acidic tartness and alcohol.
Really, quite enjoyable, the Pesquie team comes through again for a QPR bargain basement quaffer.

Mildly brickish red color. Nose and palate mildly aged, classic cotes du rhone. Drinking nicely now. For $9 per bottle, great value.

Ready to drink. Good fruit but starting to diminish slightly. Tannins soft and knitted.

Good fruit, some game and cured meat. Syrah's presence feels really well.

Grape jelly nose, with new leather. Peppery. A little on the thin and green side. Don't like this as much as the previous bottle.

Textbook grenache color and translucence.
