Maybe this is past its prime :( The best thing about the bottle is the label! Rather monotone and short on the tongue. Not worth the amount we paid for it. If got it, drink it now.

This rich and chocolatey blend of equal parts Petite Sirah and Cabernet is drinking well right now, but it would never be called light on its feet: this late-era George Foreman of a wine still packs a punch, but... well... you get the idea.
Dark purple in color and full in body, the aromas and flavors are one and the same: dark chocolate, blueberry, mocha, and cloves intertwine, with an integrated, chalky, and sweet finish. 14.1% alcohol. This is tasty like a chocolate covered cherry dipped in liqueur is tasty, but it's neither fresh nor long for this world. Drink soon.

Pretty tight on opening, after 2 hours air it was drinking beautifully. This is uber plush, smooth and syrupy...really dark fruit, black cherry. Pours the color of ink. This can go a few more years at least, but if you have many, definitely open one now. If I had one more I'd open it sooner than later.

Such a unique blend of 50/50 cab and petite sirah. I believe the cab fruit is from Beckstoffer Bourn vineyard. Inky purple in the glass! Followed over two days...both days had aromatics that just oozed juicy blueberries and blackberries accompanied by currant, and pepper crusted rhubarb. Lighter than expected on the palate (in a good way). Starts out like a cab with notes of baked mixed berry pie. Dark in profile. Petite Sirah comes through in the middle and finish showing scorched earth and charcoal with the fruit balancing it out. Dark fruit and black pepper core encapsulated by tart black cherries. For this being half petite sirah, I agree that it’s shockingly semi accessible at this stage. Kudos to Benoit.

Very interesting blend of 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Perot syrah. Suggest 2hr or so decant or open.
