  • The road to serfdom in 2020 ... The eternal doubt with the bottles made with Prieto Picudo: the variety is that brave, untamed and hard, or just does it need extra time in the bottle to settle. Lots of ripe fruit, almost compote, mixed with new wood. It leaves me indifferent because it is neutral and shy. Of the promised minerality, no trace. In the mouth its excess structure and that tannic sensation almost make it unpleasant. There is quality but I would lay it down for five years to see if it comes to the surface. Otherwise it is boring, lean and too much predictable.

    La eterna duda con las botellas elaboradas con Prieto Picudo: a variedad es así de brava, indómita y dura o es que necesita de un tiempo extra en botella para asentarse. Mucha futa madura, casi compotada, mezclada con madera nueva. Me deja indiferente porque se muestra neutral y tímida. De la prometida mineralidad ni rastro. En boca su exceso de estructura y esa sensación tánica casi la vuelven desagradable. Hay calidad pero yo la dejaría tumbada un lustro para ver si aflora a la superficie. De lo contrario es aburrido, constante y predecible.
