Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 88 points

  • We Drank this bottle on Christmas eve 2007. I did not decant it…it wasn’t needed. It had a fairly strong raspberry aroma and some spice on the nose. The taste was raspberry and spice. It was mildly dry with no bitterness at all. It was VERY SMOOTH with a good finish!

  • COLOR - nice pale, translucent red. NOSE - slight, alcohol-dominated, a bit vegetal, but not unpleasant. FLAVOR - there are two sides of this wine fighting each other: one, on the top, is a wonderful cherry-forward note; the other, seeming dominant note below is sour and vegetal. The sour notes especially dominate the lingering finish. Overall, however, this is a fun wine, especially for an early effort (that I may have over-cellared, and may have had delivery heat issues!). RATING = 85.
