Very easy drinking, smooth, silky wine. Holding up incredibly well. Rich, but still fresh, very balanced for its higher alcohol content. Substantial, drinking beautifully now but no hurry - no signs of being near end of life. Buy a recent vintage and hold, you'll be rewarded.

Bottle is without any significant ullage. Pretty deep red color that has some brown in it. Aroma of raisins and spice. Complex flavor with a nice mix of aged features and fruit. Rich mouthfeel with well balanced finish. Minimal sediment.

90's Cali Cab and the Kitchen Sink (Ursino in Union, NJ): This wine just keeps going and going. At the outset I get some molasses, turning into current and maybe a ginger flavor towards the end of the palette. Very deep wine. With more time it's more plum and spice and over time it started to settle (although was also drinking alongside cabs instead of Pinots). With even more time I started to get the more characteristic raisin, fig profile with some maple syrup and even a bit of coffee flavor. Interesting wine. Enjoyed.

Realized that I still had this and opened it with a grilled Rib Eye. Its on it's last legs, but still had some life in it.

PnP. Figgy porty nose with touch of herbs. Vibrant potpourri on the palate with black fruits. A bit thin on the finish. Time to drink up.
