Dark ruby red with pink rim, slightly cloudy. Dark cherry, ripe strawberry, raspberry, mild leather, mild tobacco, violet, lavender, fresh herbs, hazelnut, cedar, toasted barrel and wet stone. Medium-full bodied, medium-high acidity, medium-high tannin, medium-high structure and long finish with residual sugar. Fresh, vibrant, balanced and fruity. Wine still youthful and tannic.
We drank it together with 2016 vintage of the same wine, and 2016 was a lot more mature than 2017. This showed 2017 had a lot more development potential ahead of it. At the moment, I preferred 2016 which drank more like a natural wine.
ADDENDUM: I left half a bottle in the fridge. Next day, 2017 was more open and feminine. It was more similar in style with the 2016 but not as mature.

Don't mind if the Loire rips out all their grolleau and pineau d'Aunis, as long as they send it to Italy where maybe the grapes will properly ripen Hard gamay of savory and cranberry within a cloud of earthen funk Rare W for soft approachability over willful obscurantism Awful qpr @$35 till day 4, when it finally becomes as pretty and integrated as it is strange

A bit of funk on nose. Intense acidity that emphasizes the tannins. Cloves, pepper, cranberry. Misses elegance cause of youthfulness. Will become great wine since length, intensity and concentration is there.
