  • This bottle was testament to survival despite execrable storage conditions--nearly 8 years in the garage wine rack, unheated and uninsulated with temperatures fluctuating -10C to +30C. (Sadly I don't have a better stored comparator.) The wine: dark almost cabernet like, with a sweet and sour smell of cherries, following through on the palate which had a whiff of VA but not unacceptable. Medium weight. Tannins not fine. Acidity a bit lacking. Little development of complexity over two nights. Pretty much where I'd expect a mid-ranking 03 Burgundy to be at 10 years.
