  • Tasted blind. Guessed Rhone Valley, so I wasn't that far off. Deep ruby in the glass. Aromas are a bit restrained at first, but after some time in the glass opens up to ripe aromas of raspberry, dark cherry, blackberry, black pepper, cedar and tobacco. Big stuff on the palate, but goes down quite smooth. Tannins are not too expressed and acidity is moderate. The alcohol stings a bit on the finish, but becomes reasonable when paired with food. Interesting wine, something that you can't really drink on its own.
