Not sure what to expect based on prior notes, but was pleasantly surprised and think there is upside to this wine with age. Showed young with nice acid, without being tart. Seemed like a throwback wine in terms of style - slightly lighter in color, and no overwheliming mocha or vanilla notes. Will revisit in a couple years.

Finally pulled a bottle from the cellar after holding onto them since receiving them almost a year ago. Decanted at 60 degrees but only waited 5 minutes before first pour. Impenetrable and opaque in the glass, there is red fruit on the nose. The first impression is the youthful tannins which are not offputting. After the dryness washes away the fruit shows itself on the back end. The finish is long and mouthcoating. Young but utterly enjoyable. Drank first glass before dinner, but did not show that well with food (roast beast). No problem, finished eating and then went back to drinking. Good now but this has more to offer in the future.

Great on the PnP. Fruit and tannins are well integrated now. To my taste was best on Day 1 so don’t hesitate to drink now!

Still super young, this wine needs 5+ years easily before being ready to go. Same notes as before. Can't help myself and keep opening these.
