  • 2018 Bruno Colin Rully 1er Cru showed a great interplay of ripeness and freshness. The bottle was sealed under grey wax. The youthful white Burgundy was clear and pale lemon in colour without any sediments. Aromas of ripe red apple and lemon zest were accompanied by vanilla, butter and smoke.

The mouthfeel was dry and verging full-bodied, balanced by a medium-high level of acidity. There were flavours of apricot, grapefruit, yogurt and a touch of salinity in a rather long rounded finish. The modest 13% alcohol was admirable considering the heat of the 2018 vintage. The empty bottle weighed 821 grams.
