  • citrus, unripe stone fruits, pear, slight mineral. med+ acidity. OK but no need to buy again.

  • Having enjoyed several bottles of the 2018, we were keen to try the 2019 which is now also available in parallel from our dealer (xtraWine).

It's interesting to compare the two side by side. They are both made from the same four grape varieties, but the percentages are unspecified for each vintage. And they are quite different.

This wine (the 2019) has a nose which is distinctly saline and dry. And this follows through to the palate. There is a nice balance of fruit (white stone fruit primarily), minerality and acidic bite, leading to a clean and moderate length finish. The overall feeling is a bit more austere and minerally than the 2018 which is a little fruitier and fuller in the mouth.

But overall we rate this vintage equally with the 2018, just a bit different.
