straight Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs, initially rather coarse mousse, nose quite nice, fine, interesting, palate more disappointing, not really the complexity, class or finesse one would wish for Grand Cru sourced grapes, very good price but unfortunately not a bargain because the quality is also rather at the “bargain” end, you get what you pay for

WWC - NJH1122 (Fort Worth Club): Tasted blind - light gold in the glass, lots of bubbles; white fruit on the nose; dry on the palate, but still decent fruit; light and slight citrus. I didn't get a ton of depth, but it had a long finish, and opened up more as it warmed. Called an extra brut NV champagne.

{diam} Nicely aging champagne, with a mix of ripe yellow and citrus fruit, layered with autolysis characters. Supported by fine creamy bubbles, it’s medium weight, with a medium-long, even finish. Quite rich and ‘sippable’ on its own, it’s good stuff for ~A$60.

A little flabby but a serviceable champagne for 30 dollars. Would rather spend a little more for better though.
