  Drinking nicely. Good balance. Acidity a bit high, but nothing unusual for cool climate wines. Good ripeness to the fruit. Getting red berries, cherries, blackberries, baking spices. Some herbal qualities, and a touch of saline minerality. Also getting some cedar and graphite. All in all, a tasty medium bodied wine. Not a lot of depth or heaviness to the wine. A bit of tanginess and some black tea bitterness. This is not a sweet fruited wine overall, but there is some sweetness to the fruit (but a dry wine). Dusty smooth tannins on the finish. This is not a big wine, definitely a cool climate wine on the lighter mouthfeel side.

  Once you get past the question of whether twenty year-old vines constitute “old” you can deal with this wine on its own terms.
  
  And those terms prove it worthy of the exception.
  
  Black Luc price, morel mushrooms and cinnamon are what hit you right away. It’s a Cabernet that doesn’t get to the barrel almost until the end.
  
  Medium acidity, which is amazing given its tannic structure.
  
  Deep, rich colour.
  
  An instant competitor for the County’s best Cabernet Franc.

  Ce vin aune belle robe rubis foncée sans être violacée. Un nez intense de fruits compotés, de chocolat, bois, cerises noire. Une bouche tannique avec saveurs modérées de cuir, tabac, aucune verdure ou notes de poivron des cabernets franc qui n'ont pas atteint la maturité. Drôle d'appellation que cette cuvée Old vine car les vignes n'ont même pas 25 ans. Cette cuvée a produit 400 caisses de ce vin et a été élevé 16 mois en fût de chêne français dont 30% étaient neufs.
