  • Delicious - maybe not super standout, but nothing to complain about for the price, either. My first from Pernand, which is cool, and second from this producer (I liked their 2017 Vosne Raviolles a little better - I think the QPR is a touch better here. That'll change with time!)

Nicely present on the nose with some ripe strawberry and cherry, although the fruit is competing a little bit with a vaguely peppery/earthy tone. Much better with a bit of air, bringing out the dense cherry fruit and working nicely with that savory, slightly gamey nuance. Didn't decant, just let it breathe in bottle for 30 min.

Palate has nice structure, a gentle weight with very fine tannins and a delicious dose of acidity, especially with the ripeness of the vintage. It's not the most "integrated" acidity, but I wouldn't call it super tart or imbalanced, just pretty bright. I don't know if I'd call this super attention-grabbing, and the fruit and earthy tones didn't feel *totally* harmonious, but it's a beautiful Burg and feels very classic without becoming austere.
