2005 was the best vintage in the Cote de Beaune in the 20 years or so according to Wine Spectator. Lighter red color. Smooth texture. Notes of plum, cherries and a floral note. Drink now. 90 points

2nd time I have had this. Paired it with a beef stew that Allred brought over. Decanted for 1 hour. Similar notes as before. A smooth elegant wine but didn't have that something extra to take it to the next level. 88-89 points

Dinner with M/M Vino Me (Chez Vino Me): Opened by VM with dinner. Dark ruby color. Notes of cherry and clove. Opened further in the glass, eventually giving a subtle meaty aroma. Nicely balanced, with good underlying acidity. Flavors of cherry, clove and underbrush. Soft, elegant finish. 89-90 pts.

Opened on Mothers Day with lobster and filet. I got a pretty good deal on this last year. $13. The first of my 3 bottles. Not decanted. Light to medium bodied wine. Light burnt red color. Smooth and drinking fine now. Soft tannins with an elegant style. Notes of roses, plums and spices. Good food wine. 88 points.
