Value wine of the night at a South African Reds wine tasting. Dark ruby-garnet. Intense graphite, blackberries, capsicum and cedar on the nose; very Bordeaux-like. Mid-bodied with firm but good tanins, nice fruit and balancing acidity. Fairly long finish. Surprisingly good given the price. Has some aging potential but the agglomerate cork used might not permit. Shame.

Deep ruby color. Full aromas of dark black fruit, cedar and lead pencil. Full bodied with lots of fruit and oak. Medium, slightly bitter, finish. Classic left bank Bordeaux on the nose, but rather one-dimensional on the palate. Drink now

A little bit boring. Nothing wrong with it, but no great sensation either. Decent wine to steak. Strange sour undertone close to finish is somewhat disturbing.

Rice round nose of oak, dark fruits and smoke. Very soft on the palate, nice round oaken touch, red berries, medium fullness but too soft on the acidity and tannins. Nice wine for the barbeque but nothing for the cellar. i.e. drink now.
