Un vino connotato da una fortissima speziatura. Liquirizia, leggero pizzicorio mentolato, una vaghissma ombra di ciliegia matura e nient'altro. La speziatura sovrasta il tutto, di "vinoso" non c'è nulla. Se fosse un infuso di radice di liquirizia calabra non sarebbe niente male. Vino insulso (e non è neppure economico).

Restaurant pop and pour. Nice fresh fruit on the nose; black currant and some plum, raspberry. Good mouth feel. Med acid. A bit hot to begin with but cooled down after 30minutes. Cherry and red fruit, without too much oak. Decent tannins but quick finish.

This probably needs to breathe for a little bit. The first glass was pretty overwhelming. It definitely needs to be paired with food. We drank it with ham and spicy red beans and rice. The second glass (with food) was much better.
