  • 94+. A beautiful wine that hasn’t even started to fully share its story. More cherry and freshness on the palate than I was expecting. This is a wine of refinement and balance not power. After tasting this, I understand why all the wine critics were so gobsmacked by this wine. I now am too.

Decanted for approximately 1 hour and enjoyed over the course of 3 hours at a restaurant.

Will hold my remaining 5 and drink them over the next 5-15 years. Curious to see how this develops. It should do so gracefully.

  • Outstanding “Toscana” red wine from Antinori’s Bolgheri vineyards!
This wine is a blend of Cab Sauvignon, Merlot, Cab Franc and Petit Verdot.
Deep ruby red color in the glass nearly opaque with touches of purple at the rim.
Highly expressive aromas of ripe cherries, cassis, black currants, leather and touch of tobacco.
On the palate, a lovely well-rounded mouthfeel that shows a wide complexity of flavors.
Well-balanced acidity with long smooth finish.

  • Decanted for two hours before consumption. Opened it like a special treat, knowing it is far too young and promising. A nice surprise, elegant and balanced, compared with Tignanello 2019, which is a fruit bomb.
In short, while this a wine to be celarref for another 5 years, at least, it may reward the try if you find it at a good price.

  • Yes to this. Wow. Only my second vintage of it, but this is something else! Decanted two - three hours. Powerful. Dark fruit. This can be drunk now with a decanter.

  • One of the best Bordeaux-like wines from the beautiful sunshine in Tuscany. Fully loaded of black fruits like prune, blackcurrant, boysenberry, touches of cherry tart, violets, star anise and clove. This wine is appealingly perfumed, dense and thick but not overpowering whatsoever, full-bodied, fine-grained tannins and a savoury finish. Undoubtedly young but drink amazingly well right now, a huge upside potential. This is a seductive, delicious, fantastic young wine. Count me as a fan.
